Some of our retailers tell us our animated products
are the top sellers in their stores. That's terrific news, but we
can't take all the credit. The shops that consistently reorder from us
are the shops that display our products properly. Remember, most
customers have never seen anything like CineSpinners™,
Scanimation Rulers® or Kineticards™ before and don't know
what they do. Unless they see them animate the first time they look
at them, there's a chance you might not sell even one. For these
unique products, proper display is really that important! Please take
the time to read our tips for each product.
For instance, our
CineSpinner™ Suncatchers should be suspended at eye level either
in a daylit window or in front of a plain, light background such as a
white wall, leaving enough room for them to rotate completely around
at the end of their string. Dark walls or busy backgrounds such as
product-cluttered shelves will make the CineSpinners™
unreadable. No kidding.
If you display
CineSpinners™in your shop window with our custom-made
suction cup hangers, they will look terrific to
people inside your store because the daylit window provides a bright
background. But be aware that, at the same time, people outside your
store looking into the window are unlikely to see the
CineSpinner™ images because the shop interior provides a
comparatively dark, cluttered background. If you want people outside
your shop to see CineSpinners™ in your window, you'll want to
position a plain, light-colored backdrop behind them.
But suppose you don't have enough wall space for a dedicated CineSpinner™ display area. What to do? Problem solved: our all-new, compact, wall-free Satellite CineSpinner™point of purchase display. This smart-looking hanging
unit is instant-just add six CineSpinner™! Best of all, there's no tying
involved. The CineSpinner™ can be hung and swapped out with no fuss!
Our Scanimation® Rulers sell
best in our Rockin‘ Ruler Scanimation® Ruler P.O.P.'s which feature a tamper proof,
permanently front-mounted Scanimation® ruler that appears to
animate as your customer walks toward it. Be sure to place the
display where overhead light will fall onto the white background
directly behind the display ruler. If possible, position the display
near a white wall or a daylit window so when your customers pick up
and examine the for-sale Scanimation® rulers from the back of the
display, they can hold them up to the light to examine them.
Another Scanimation® Ruler
display option is to prop an individual ruler up on a Ruler Easel
. But make sure the countertop is white or light in color because it
is now providing the background for the ruler. In the past, many of
our customers successfully sold our Scanimation® Rulers this way,
but the downside to this method is that, after picking up and
examining the ruler, a customer may lay the ruler flat on the table
rather than returning it to its easel.
It's not a good idea to leave Scanimation® Rulers lying flat on a
countertop - even a white countertop-- because the images on them will
look so dark that it is unlikely they will catch the next customer's
attention.
Scanimation® Rulers are one of our best selling
items, but we're pained to admit that they make poor bin items. The
average customer will remove a ruler from the bin, but, not knowing
that it animates when held up to the light, will instead view it
against the floor (a dark background), not see anything at all, and
return it to the bin. We've seen it happen!
Our Smart Move™ Animated Greeting Card,
thanks to a sticker on its acetate enclosure that reads "Open Me - I
Move!" requires no special display attention whatsoever. Isn't that a
relief?
Remember, if your customers see our products
animate the first time they look at them, you've displayed them
properly - and it's likely you'll be reordering from us soon.
